Saw this brother-sister duo perform at the Alliance Francaise on 4/23 to an intimate francophone crowd. She’s a French actress with a pristine voice; he’s a soulful guitarist. They played songs from their upcoming album Je Sais Nager accompanied by a gifted group of musicians, including a seriously talented triangle player. It was a night in Paris on the Upper East Side, and a perfect birthday gift for yours truly.

I absolutely adore the new Target “Color Changes Everything” commercial. It’s charming, catchy and a visual delight. Everything about it screams springtime in the city: the music, the scenery, and of course, the colors.

Oh yeah, and it’s in French. Magnifique.
